Working with social brownfields – locations that for environmental, political or other reasons are unable to support life – Lauren Bon and the Metabolic Studio make metabolic sculptures: site-specific objects that, through the process of their installation and maintenance, foster relationships, actions, and events that transform the site into a more healthful environment and galvanize transition within complex bureaucracies.
