Lina Espinosa is currently interested in exploring the relationships between art and science in particular those ideas related with fragility and social and environmental impacts of industrial and other human actions. She is interested in developing projects and participation in collaborations among artists and people from different disciplines. Bogotá-born artist Lina Espinosa, is an Associate Professor at Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia. Her work has been shown in Brazil, Colombia, United States, Mexico among others. Her first solo museum show took place this year at the Museo Bolivariano de Arte Contemporáneo in Santa Marta, Colombia, with the series of works Impacto Mínimo. She holds a Masters Degree in painting from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and she is a Fulbright fellow. In 2013 she participated in a bioart residence in New York and her work is currently participating in El Dorado traveling exhibition in Brazil, Costa Rica and Venezuela.
