Lorraine Beaulieu

Lorraine Beaulieu is a Canadian artist living and working in Trois-Rivières (Québec). A multidisciplinary artist inspired by the Man’s relationships with its environment. She has, since 2001, developed a practice based mainly on the use of everyday objects taken from recycling materials to create sculptures, installations, such as empty water bottles (Haro sur la rivière et Haro sur l’Yonne), umbrellas and newspapers, and brings them again to life. In 2007, her environmental involvement brought her to an artistic residency in Antarctica. She has exhibited in Quebec and abroad (France, Argentina, Cuba, Croatia, Mexico, Colombia, Serbia and U.K.). In 2014, in Greece, she presented Sisyphus and the water concern, a sculpture and public action performances.
