Artist born in Queens, NY. Daughter of a Brooklynite and Liverpudlian, who grew up in a hamlet of Carmel New York. Sherry Mayo undertook an independent study of BioArt at Boston College and after a brief time in medical research moved to Manhattan. Here she undertook an MFA at NYU and residency in the East Village for a decade.
